It happened after Taylor Swift’s victory in the Best Female Video category for “You Belong With Me,” which beat out Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” Just moments after Swift accepted the Moonman and began her acceptance speech, West stormed the stage, taking the microphone from Swift to announce Beyoncé deserved the award.“Thank you so much!” Swift began. “I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these some day, but I never actually thought it would have happened. I sing country music so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA award.”

Before she could continue, West broke in. “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” Kanye shouted to a mortified Swift and the speechless audience. And as quickly as he ran onstage — MTV cut away to show Pink applauding Taylor, and when they flashed back to Swift, West already had the mic in his hand — he was off, leaving a shocked Swift in his wake.

Everyone at the Radio City Music Hall looked stunned, as the cameras captured an astonished and horrified Beyoncé still in her seat. Soon after, the audience gave a standing ovation in support of Swift. To add insult to injury, after Kanye handed the microphone back to Swift, her time was up, and MTV cut to a video featuring Tracy Morgan and Eminem. zaha hadid architects‘ burnham pavilion recently opened in millennium park, chicago as part of the burnham plan centennial celebrations. the pavilion is composed of an intricate curved aluminium structure, with fabric skins tightly zipped around the metal frame to create the curvilinear shape. the interior skin also serves as the screen for a video installation by thomas gray that explores chicago’s past and future.

the burnham pavilion by zaha hadid architects triggers the visitors’ curiosity and encourages them to consider the future of chicago. the design merges new formal concepts with the memory of burnham’s bold, historic urban planning. superimpositions of spatial structures with hidden traces of burnham’s plan are overlaid and inscribed within the structure to create unexpected results.

issue No.28 features Hiroki Nakamura, the creative director and driving force behind the brand Visvim. We were looking for the right title claim or headline that could properly encompass the entire issue, but yet also suit the title story with Hiroki. I recently received a pack of well-made Visvim catalogues and found myself deeply impressed, not only because I could not find an item I did not like, but also because I stumbled over the words ‘Dissertation on the Future Relationship Between Materials and Technologies in Product Fundamentalism Vol.2.’

I knew the brand’s output before and had seen their stuff in pictures, but also worn by a handful good people whose knowledge about street-related brands goes beyond average. It’s a hard-to-find brand and most of the people you see wearing it do so with an air of pride, which reminds me of the roots of streetwear. The days where subtle hints on a clothing product lead to a conversation between likeminded people, right on the streets having only just seen each other for the first time. I don’t think it’s a sort of dress code like Mods, Teds, Punks or other cultures have, no, it is more the style of the product itself without screaming it aloud. And that’s exactly what Mr. Hiroki Nakamura is aiming towards, not the fashion or the image of his label, it’s just the product, like he says, “Everywhere I go, I always look for something interesting for the product.” Concerning his products, his clothes, Hiroki is a fundamentalist in the true and positive sense of the word. The term fundamentalism nowadays has, for the most part, a negative connotation. People put it on a level with religious or right-wing fanaticism, but it is in the broadest sense of the term that fundamentalism adds a philosophy of life and such movement to it, a movement that claims its reflection in the roots of ideologies, even by using radical and extraordinary ways. Hiroki’s radicalism is composed of a love and meticulousness in regards to the quality basic materials, the workmanship, and above all, to the design, the idea behind the product. It has nothing to do with religion. It is a worship of the materials and the processing. This is something that other producers should share, ‘cause there are a lot, respectively, way too many products out there that just have no reason to exist. There are products that make it to the consumers with a quality so low that you have to throw it away after two uses. In times of shortage in raw materials, and above all, water, clothes shouldn’t be just disposable articles. You should be proud to have this or that piece of clothing, not think about throwing it away after wearing it a few times. Real products are those that show your special tastes, your personality, and for sure, a long-lasting quality. A pair of 14 oz denim pants that becomes almost like a second skin after wearing it for years. Same with your beloved shoes and jackets, quality garments that survived and and won’t go out of style, but instead show the signs of time and scars of life, like the lines in your face.

10th april---The line-ups were extended down the block yesterday as fans eagerly awaited the release of CLOT’s collaboration denim alongside Levi’s and fashion designer Kazuki Kuraishi. Like Kevin Poon put it, although times may look a bit tough in the streetwear world, if a product is designed correctly and produced well then fans will surely support it, much like the Air Yeezy release.

A quick survey of Hong Kong’s many re-seller shops shows that it’s not hard to find the influence and visibility of the two collaborators at hand in this upcoming Levi’s Platnium kzKLOT 505 release. Both CLOT and Kazuki Kuraishi have had a dominating effect on the fashion scene throughout much of Asia, as their items are often hotly contested and accompanied by intense price mark-ups and line-ups. Focusing the attention to the efforts of designer Kazuki Kurashi, his designer’s touch has been remarkable, not only under his design firm with Hiroshi Fujiwara (known to many as fragment design), but also his overall ability to find the correct context whilst designing. This is arguably one of his greatest assets.

A quick run-down of his collaborative work has yielded projects including a handful with adidas on the Super Ape Star with A Bathing Ape, Super Skate with Tommy Guerrero and finally two releases with NEIGHBORHOOD on the ZX800 Boat for the adidas aZX Project and a 35th Anniversary Superstar. Beyond his well-documented and sought-after endeavors, Kazuki has boasted strong relations with various Japanese fashion brands such as Levi’s Fenom, Resonate, iDiom, whiz and the recently defunct Number (N)ine.

Moving to the topic at hand, after seeing early leaks, we had originally thought this upcoming release would fall under the Levi’s Fenom sub-line from the storied denim brand. However, despite many trademark details applied onto the Platnium kzKLOT 505, the denim releases under Levi’s Japan. The final product looks to capture the essence of both participating parties. The detailing are top notch while its application of highlights is very much in-line with CLOT and its legion of Asian fans. Aside from touches such as vertical zipper pockets, keychain fobs and an iconic silk-screen logo placement that have come to symbolize frequent Levi’s Fenom releases, the Platinum kzKLOT 505 goes even further to create a complete package. The denim features a platinum colored weave within its dark denim fabric (recommended by Nakano-san, a good friend of CLOT’s Edison Chen) to create a visible albeit subtle textile. Continuing with the metallic trend, a Levi’s patch is seen in a metallic print as well. CLOT branding is seen in multiple forms from the distressed ‘C’ printed beneath the back-right pocket to a smaller embroidered detail on the back of the knee. Over the last few seasons, many of CLOT’s exclusive releases have been marked by the use of traditional Chinese silk. CLOT continues on with this concept as blue silk is sewn into the weft of the jeans and offers a striking contrast when cuffed and exposed. A small patch situated inside the back left pocket features a small tag commemorating the efforts of both entities, “kzKLOT joint development”.

The Levi’s Platnium kzKLOT 505 is set to release on Friday, April 10th exclusively through JUICE in Hong Kong and will be sold via a lottery scheme. Tickets will be handed out starting at 11:00 am, with the winners able to claim their denim at 1:00 pm the same day. A suggested retail price is set at $3650 HKD (approximately $471 USD).

after visiting juice.i head to cotwo.i had rumours saying that the shop is very deep inside the street and hard to find...but i manage to found it as soon as i go into some street....i did not even search for it.
hmmm..i think im too lazy to tallk all about causeway bay's shop and area...lets skip this..
i take a tour to CENTRAL .this place rocks man....in malaysia shopping complex like star hill, The Gardens and Pavilion called high class...but in hk..high class shop is just on the street.
In central,all the shop is selling luxury brand.if u like LV or gucci this is the place man..besides that highstreet brand like VISvIM ( F.I.L) , Bathing Ape (BAPE STORE) , NBHD (HOODS) , BBC , CDG and many more are located at CENTRAL.
hmmm i visited all the shops in central until it is 10.00pm...FIL is amazing but sadly the price hike like shit...more expensive than resellers...swt
dinner for day 2 is 'Pou chai fan '.....nice and simple...good for cold weather in HK...dis day HK is darn cold at night....

HK trip DAY 2 -Part 1

early morning about 9.00 woke up took a bath ,wash face and brush teeth as usual humans will do.
after that....i waste 10 minutes choosing what to wear omfg....i realize i did not bring enough cloths and underwear haha
nvr mind...i chosen to rock my beloved visvim nez perce shirt , Fenom gold package and the adidas ZX700 boat shoes.
whereas my brother is rocking the proud malaysian made Boundlezz slicer denim ,remix x brainchild and a pair of baby bear.

HK trip Day 1

Me and my family went to the LCCTerminal at 2.00...
by 4.05 we took off to hong kong.its a 4 hours journey...so its been a short time sitting in the airplane.by the time we reach hong kong it is already night time...took a tour around the city by bus...
the city light and the people really startle me at first...even its already 1.00am i still see many people walking around.

took a bath and went to a restaurant for dinner...
